Draytek routers receive ICASA approval

After a long and costly path Draytek have finally managed to receive ICASA`s (Independent Communications Authority of South Africa) approval for their products. The testing was done by KTL, an independent UK based testing station approved by ICASA. Draytek have received the report from KTL and are awaiting approval which is a “mere formality” and should be in place by the end of September.

Draytek South Africa expects their routers to help lower inter office costs with regards to voice as well as VPN connections. National offices will be able to create WAN (Wide Area Networks) over their ADSL connections with the added benefit of having ISDN as a backup on the same firewall.
