Voice over IP
Since VoIP was made legal in South Africa a few years ago, many companies have taken advantage of this. VoIP has been implemented in big organisations overseas for over a decade. There are two main ways to take advantage of VoIP:
- Inter branch communication which utilises your Internet connection. The bandwidth usage on VoIP is small. So even though you are not paying for the call to your remote office/s, you are still using bandwidth which you are paying for. This will reduce your inter branch call costs.
- The other way of taking advantage of VoIP is from a leased cost routing point of view (LCR). Traditionally Premi cells are connected to your PABX.
