In an effort to source the top IT skills in South Africa, we have finally managed to source a new senior consultant. After many interviews over the past six months, we finally decided to appoint Stephen Downey. He will be joining Network Platforms on the 1 November. Stephen has 10 years IT experience and has and his last position was the IT manager at an IT company based in Johannesburg. Prior to that he worked at ABSA on the Corporate Merchant Bank Server team and was responsible for the Server Farms at head office. |
Stephen also has good International experience having worked in the Netherlands for a number of years.

Increased efficiency with new Call Logging System
We are busy implementing a new call logging system which will be accessed via the Internet to log calls. The system will notify us of new calls via SMS and email. You will soon be able to login and view the status of any calls and also changes to any logged call. We plan on have this implemented by the end of February.
Clients to benefit from new Monitoring System
After many hours of testing we now have the perfect solution to monitor client’s systems. Depending on your requirement, we can now even monitor PC’s heat and CPU usage. We intend, as a standard on all SLA customers, to monitor VPN’s and Internet usage. Amongst many others, the solution can notify us of sudden changes like heat increases or increased memory utilisation. Once the system is in place, we will be in touch to confirm which additional monitoring you would be interest in and also discuss pricing.
South African Motocross Sponsorship

To continue our support, we have we have decided to sponsor and help raise funds for the National Motocross team which participate in an annual event called the Motocross of Nation. We have sponsored the design of the Website which includes general information, an online shop and Web hosting. This coincides with our sponsorship of Gareth Swanepoel who managed to achieve a 5th place in the FIM World Motocross Championship this year. |
